The series SARDÌNNIA is edited by Giovanni Masala and Titus Gast with the assistance of Rembert Eufe, Graziano Fois, Markus Fritsche and Andreas Stieglitz and in cooperation with the Institute for Literature Studies (Romance Literatures II) and the Lectorate for Sardinian Language and Culture Studies at the University of Stuttgart.

The Series SARDÌNNIA intends to call attention upon works of contemporary German and non-German scientists and intellectuals from all academic disciplines which deal or have dealt with Sardinia. Especially in a coalescing Europe the editors consider it important to gain insight into the continents cultural richness in its total diversity. Therefore the Series SARDÌNNIA wants to present one of the oldest and most original romance cultures and languages in its different facets and from different perspectives to German-speaking readers. Furthermore, the Series aims to initiate discussions about our handling of regional languages and regional cultures.
